Over the course of Fall 2021-Spring 2023, The News Leaders program brought together small cohorts of press executives and journalists to analyze the problem of misinformation-at-scale and media manipulation. As News Leaders, these cohorts worked with The Technology and Social Change Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center to develop procedures and protocols to address threats to the media ecosystem and US democracy. Through convenings and case studies, News Leaders shared their experiences about the complex challenges facing modern newsrooms and what solutions they adopted to deliver high-quality journalism every day.
